The course plays similar to a links course featuring many elevated tees and excellent bunkers. True to many great golfers’ expectations, there are moments of near heartbreak and sheer delight while playing this course. The highlights include a five-tier double green which is shared by the 8th and 10th holes. Sandwiched in between is a quite superb par five - the 9th, which measures 500 yards off the back.
With Glen of the Downs Peter McEvoy believes he has constructed “probably the best set of par 3's ever”. Golfers of all levels are sure to find the course a challenge with its natural slopes and valleys, combined with McEvoy's rolling fairways and some 90 bunkers. The course is easy to walk around although there are buggies available for hire.
